Moon Night Snacker By Jae EberMoon Night SnackerMoon Night Snacker By Jae Eber by Jaeox

"Sorry mama," is what I said often whenever she scorned me over eating too loud and wildly.
"Chew your food, you're an animal!" "Don't smack so loud you'll wake your sister. Look at all the dirt you brought in tonight, there's a doormat you know."
She often got on me about that too. I worked the late shift at the Lumber Mill which took up my whole day. I usually didn't get in til the moon was high in the sky, beautiful and peaceful.
When walking home I'd like looking up at it, sitting there unbothered. I'd wonder if the moon had to apologize to its mother as much as I did. It'd come to the point that whenever Mama called my name I'd instinctively reply, "Sorry Mama". Not knowing the reason but knowing there was a reason.
I went to sleep after my 'Moon Night Snack' as Mama would call it since I ate when the moon was at its highest. I awoke the next morning, did my chores ate breakfast then headed off to the Market as I did every week.
Hey DA Community,|
I'm Jae, a writer. Looking forward to getting to network and know people and hopefully make some good connections here.
Lets work together if you're interested.
"Writing isn't about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends. In the end, it's about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life, as well. It's about getting up, getting well, and getting over. Getting happy, okay? Getting happy." - Stephen King
